He repeated that he left the coalition, but it is also in their interest to continue in government with a new coalition agreement. According to the prime minister, the liberals must take a step back. We give partners room for negotiations He admitted that SaS creates room for negotiations for itself and for its partners by not yet specifying its requirements, which it spoke about last week. If there is interest from the partners, SaS is ready to negotiate. He did not say whether the liberals are willing to back down from the demand for the departure of the Minister of Finance and OĽaNO leader Igor Matovič from the government, if he declares that he will change his way of functioning. He called it a hypothetical question. “We are not interested in early elections, we want this election period to end normally. We just need to write a new coalition agreement,” he noted, adding that the current coalition agreement has been violated several times. He denies that this is an attempt by SaS to start an election campaign. According to him, he did not leave the SaS coalition because of efforts to strengthen his position, but because it was impossible to continue working in it. Sulíka regrets how Heger reacted to the letter In connection with the new coalition agreement, he already announced last week the request to revise it on the basis of current political realities. “Election results are not set in stone. What is more important is the number of deputies the party has,” he said. He pointed out that the OĽANO movement currently has 48 deputies, and the SaS party will have 20 of them after the resignation of its ministers in the plenary. The SaS club was strengthened during the election period by several legislators who left the For the People party together with the Minister of Justice Mária Kolíková. Sulíka regrets that Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OĽANO) reacted negatively to the publication of the letter addressed to him by SaS. It is a justification of our decision,” he explained, adding that it also outlined the possibilities for further functioning. He recalled the party’s reservations about the functioning of Matovič.
