OM: Assistant to Igor Tudor, Mauro Camoranesi is already leaving Marseille, a week after his arrival – 20 Minutes

Like the former Lyonnais, who had left Saint-Etienne three weeks after his arrival, Mauro Camoranesi did not wait long before packing his bags, when he had just put them down in Marseille. But the Italian did better than the Frenchman: he only stayed a week near La Canebière. The now ex-assistant of Igor Tudor, the new Croatian coach of Olympique de Marseille, has left his post “for personal reasons”, the club announced on Tuesday. Mauro Camoranesi, world champion with Italy in 2006, “In fact wanted to pursue a solo career,” the club told AFP, immediately announcing its replacement, Croatian Hari Vukas. Arrived at the club with a second physical trainer, the Italian Mario Rotondale, Vukas was “already at work” on Tuesday with the Olympian players, who will play their first preparation match on Wednesday against the National 2 club of Marignane-Gignac. Hari Vukas had already been Igor Tudor’s assistant, between 2016 and 2018, in the Turkish clubs of Karabükspor and Galatasaray, then at Udinese, in Italy. The duo then met, in 2020, at the Croatian club Hadjuk Split, for the end of the season. Since June 2021, he had coached Croatian club Dugopolje. Alongside his new assistant, Tudor has two physical trainers, the Italians Carlo Spignoli and Mario Rotondale, a goalkeeper coach, the Italian Antonello Brambilla, and a video analyst, another Italian, Giuseppe Maiuri.
