Perhaps you did not know that he lived abroad with his family for a long time and returned to Slovakia only 5 years ago. Scientist Pavol Čekan appeared in the media almost every day during the pandemic. He returned to Slovakia only 2 years before it broke out here. As he admitted on Facebook, he lived abroad for 20 years. On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of his return, he evaluated the situation in his native country and left no stone unturned on some people. “In 5 years, I met many good Slovaks in Slovakia, I experienced gratitude, recognition, I got to know our country and its progress over the last 20 years. But I also saw the opposite face of our republic, or sometimes the true characters of some compatriots,” wrote the biochemist, who returned to Slovakia with his partner also in order for their children to get to know our homeland.
