The makeshift confessional at the Pohoda festival in a wooden cabin, in which spiritual services are provided by Bratislava’s auxiliary bishop Jozef Haľko, is not appreciated by some of the participants, who placed a rainbow flag on it as a sign of disapproval. The daily Standard informs about it. Footage of this move was published by Róbert Furiel, the director of Saplinq, a civic association aimed at helping LGBT people. According to the Standard, this probably happened on Friday. How long the symbol of sexual minorities remained in place is not clear. Other photos and videos of festival participants who gathered in front of the cabin and protested against Bishop Haľek also appeared on social networks. One man in front of the makeshift confessional was urging him to leave the festival. “You are not welcome at the Freedom Festival because you are homophobic, two women kissing on TV does not break traditional values, you break traditional values ​​with your medieval attitudes. For this (…) I forgive you, because you are not welcome here. Please pack your jackets and leave, I give you absolution and get out!” Some time ago, Bishop Haľko publicly criticized the end of one scene in the series Priznanie on RTVS, where two women were kissing.
