The hydrogen Hyundai Nexo is already sold in the Czech Republic. Curious about the price? – The truth

With the start of sales of the hydrogen Nexo in the Czech Republic, Hyundai waited for the opening of the first public hydrogen filling station. Hyundai has started selling its first hydrogen model, the Nexo, in the Czech Republic. After the Toyota Mirai, it is the second hydrogen fuel cell passenger car on the Czech market. With the introduction of the vehicle, the Hyundai company was waiting for the commissioning of the first public hydrogen filling station, which opened last week in Vítkovice. And how much does it cost with our western neighbors? This is what the current Czech price list looks like: The price of the hydrogen Nexa starts at 1,899,990 Czech crowns, which, when converted according to the NBS exchange rate, is almost 76,800 euros. In the higher of the two offered equipment levels, it costs one hundred thousand Czech crowns more, which translates to approximately 80,800 euros. Just for the sake of interest, it is much more than the hydrogen Toyota Mirai with a range of 650 kilometers costs in Slovakia, which is almost the same as the Nexo offers. Mirai currently starts in Slovakia with a price of 62,990 euros. Mirai is also cheaper than Nexo in the Czech Republic, by almost 200,000 Czech crowns. It starts there at a price of 1,700,000 CZK. The Hyundai Nexo is powered by an electric motor (120 kW, 395 Nm), which draws energy from a smaller li-ion battery with an output of 40 kW and fuel cells with an output of 95 kW. These are powered by hydrogen stored in three pressure tanks located under the seats and the bottom of the trunk with a volume of 156.6 liters (6.33 kg). Nexo also saves energy thanks to recuperation. It can do 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 179 km/h. Refueling it should not take more than five minutes, which is not far from pumping gasoline or diesel into conventional cars.
