A fire broke out at the end of the morning in a commercial area of ​​Fourchon, in Arles and would have already covered 70 hectares. More than 120 firefighters and aerial resources are mobilized to fight the flames.

A fire is currently affecting the town of Arles. A brush fire broke out on Thursday behind the Géant Casino in the Fourchon area, in Arles, BFM said. Our colleagues from La Provence evoke three fire starts between this commercial area and the N113. The latter specify that the fire is spreading at high speed “due to the strong mistral”, that the N113 as well as “all access to the expressway have been cut off around Arles.” They point out that “electricity was also cut in the surrounding neighborhoods”. BFM adds that a DIY store had to be evacuated. The Bouches-du-Rhône firefighters meanwhile indicated that more than 120 firefighters were mobilized in Arles. “A water bomber helicopter as well as a Dash are mobilized”, advance BFM.
