To a friend of Delphine, he would have shown tomb seals before opening a drawer during a search in March 2021. Two months later, he would have accompanied a loved one to this same cemetery to show him “that there are plenty of places to hide a body”. The area has already been searched by the gendarmes, without success so far. But in this former mining basin, the place is full of cavities and wells. The ultimate question remains: will it be necessary to open graves? A dowser, a retired police officer, allegedly told the gendarmes “that the body of the missing nurse is under a clearly identified tomb” which would not be sealed. “The only one in the cemetery where flowers grow all around”, according to La Dépêche.
