The Freedom and Solidarity party terminated the coalition agreement. They are asking Prime Minister Eduard Heger to propose a new wording of the agreement with the fact that Igor Matovič will no longer be a member of the government. They gave the prime minister until the end of the holidays, otherwise they will end up in the government. “He angers society and has been in conflict with everyone who disagrees with him for months,” declared Richard Sulík after the meeting of the Republican Party Council. He called his colleague from the government the biggest problem of the current coalition. “He is destroying our country with his ideas and the functioning of the coalition is impaired with a person who cannot control himself,” added the leader of the liberals. The turning point for them was the breaking of the president’s veto on the anti-inflation package with the fascists. The chairman of Freedom and Solidarity admitted that they will have other demands. He did not specify what exactly it was. He indicated that it could be an agreement to raise teachers’ salaries. In the event that Ordinary People would again demand the resignation of Richard Sulík, they are willing to think about it with the liberals. “I can imagine that Igor Matovič would continue to participate in the coalition councils and I would not go there,” he explained. Standing behind the leader The Movement of Ordinary People and Independent Personalities has already announced in advance that they reject the possible demand of the Freedom and Solidarity party for Igor Matovič to leave the government . According to the strongest party in parliament, such a demand is in direct conflict with the coalition agreement and the movement will not agree to it.
