Report in the Donbass: firefighters at the bedside of the last inhabitants of Sloviansk deprived of water

The latter was intensely bombarded on Sunday. The inhabitants who remained despite the bombs suffer from shortages, in particular the lack of drinking water. Our special correspondents in the Donbass followed a team of firefighters, not far from the front line, who are trying somehow to supply civilians. The Ukrainian city of Sloviansk lies just over 70 kilometers west of Lysychansk, the city that Russian forces finally managed to take after weeks of fierce fighting in the Donbass. Sloviansk, which is a few kilometers from the front line, experienced its biggest series of bombardments for some time on Sunday July 3. The city has been deprived of water for more than a month, precisely since the systems of pumping and filtration of drinking water were damaged by the fighting. Their repair not being possible, since they are located in an active combat zone, it is the firefighters of the city who somehow supply, in dangerous conditions, inhabitants exhausted by the war and who now lack everything.
