This 43-year-old Czech helmsman came to Urpín after training in Senice, Trnava and Nitra. He preferred Banská Bystrica’s offer to one of the clubs in the Cypriot competition. “I was in the Czech Republic with my parents when a specific offer came from Banská Bystrica. I was already dealing with a coaching engagement in Cyprus. I finally agreed to Dukla’s offer, as the negotiations were quick and fair. The fact that I know the club’s sports director Jozef also weighed in More,” said Ščasný at Saturday’s briefing. He also outlined his plans: “I want to do a good job in Dukla. It is a traditional club, in the past it was at a high level in the league and in European cups. This club has a tradition, an excellent background. My goal is to do a good job and follow up on Stan’s excellent work Varga. I’m sorry that I’m replacing my friend Stan. He helped me a lot in my coaching career when I returned from Cyprus to the Tatrana Prešov academy. He did an excellent job in Banská Bystrica and I want to continue it.” Ščasný is going to a new environment, but the game of Banská Bystrica’s Dukla is not unknown to him: “The playing squad is at a good level. We will definitely supplement it appropriately. I saw some matches of Banská Bystrica in the second league during the past season, I watched this team. They are in he has players who have worked in the top competition for many years, so they have experience. I hope that we will do well in the top competition.” At Saturday’s briefing in Banská Bystrica, the sports director of MFK Jozef Mores also commented on the engagement of coach Ščašyny: “The results of his work in the clubs where he worked speak for Michal Ščašyny. Whether it was in Senica or in Spartak Trnava. They only talked about him the best references. We also know each other personally. I am convinced that he can help our club and team. Negotiations with Michal were quick, mutually satisfactory, and I believe that our cooperation will be successful.” Štefan Rusnák and Mário Auxt, who is coming to Dukla from the post of head coach of FC Petržalka, will be assistants to coach Michal Ščásny.
