A two-year-old boy went missing in Lemešany near Prešov on Friday (July 1) in the afternoon. About 50 people from the Roma settlement bathed in Torys behind the village. The boy was there with two siblings and an uncle. When they got out of the water, he suddenly disappeared from their sight. They looked for the lost boy in the water and in the bushes on the shore, but did not find him. Firefighters searched for him with a boat on the water until dark. Volunteer firefighters from Lemešian and police with a dog combed the area, but to no avail. In the evening, the search operation was suspended. In the morning, divers from the fire rescue brigade from Humenné will come to search the river. But the versions of the settlers differ. Some doubt that the child went into the water alone and say that he just wandered around somewhere.
