The new death toll from Russia’s missile attack against the Amstor shopping center in Kremenchuk, in the Ukrainian region of Poltava, has risen to 18 dead. The BBC reported, while US President Joe Biden on Twitter called “Russia’s attack on civilians cruel” in the mall. Previously, the head of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service in the Poltava region, Serhiy Kruk, had spoken of at least “16 people killed and 59 injured, 25 of whom were hospitalized”, referring – as reported by Ukrinform – of the rescuers’ operations . “We are in solidarity with the Ukrainian people – reiterated Biden – As demonstrated at the G7, the United States together with allies and partners will continue to hold Russia responsible for these atrocities and to support the Ukrainian defense”.
