At the beginning of June (June 3), tragic information flew around Slovakia, and a dead student was found at the Bratislava boarding school. As it turned out later, it was only 21-year-old Maria, a Ukrainian woman, who was strangled by her friend Volodymyr. He confessed to the crime himself in the police. However, the motive remained unclear until now. The cause of the murder should be a university exam, informs cas.sk. Volodymyr has been cooperating with the police from the beginning. He also took part in the reconstruction of the case, which was carried out by the police at the boarding schools on 10 June. He described in detail to investigators and judges what preceded the murder. Mária († 21) did not allow him to describe during the university exam. While she managed it, Volodymyr did not do it. Then she did not respond to his reports. According to the court order, these events are to be the cause of the murder. The young man claims that he is not responsible for his actions, his health condition is allegedly to blame. According to him, he suffers from a mental illness, schizophrenia, for which he must take medication. He is said to have been hospitalized several times in a psychiatric hospital. However, he did not take his medication at the time of the murder. According to the accused, the whole murder was dictated to him by his head, he could not control it. He first strangled her on the bed after an argument, then finished the murder on the ground. When Maria was no longer responding, he took off her socks and covered her with a blanket. For a brutal act, a young man faces the penalty of imprisonment for 15 to 20 years. Whether the disease actually affected his conduct is subject to forensic examination.
