The club that the jersey in the Premier League will be worn by the Slovak goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka announced the latest reinforcement. The 30-year-old English representative Nick Pope joins the team. The almost two-meter-long Pope transferred from Burnley FC for 12 million euros. He caught 155 matches for his former club and represented England in 8 matches. The new goalkeeper was high on Newcastle coach Eddie How’s wish list this summer. Pope agreed on a four-year contract. “I’m here and I can’t wait to start,” Pope said. He admitted that the agreement with the player and between the clubs was born for several weeks. Coach Howe was also pleased with the new player on the team. “Many other clubs have shown interest in him, so I would like to thank the owners and everyone behind the scenes who managed to get him here,” Howe said. The coach of Newcastle United did not comment on the official website of the club about what the arrival of an experienced goalkeeper means for the Slovak Dúbravka.
