Budaja’s Appeal: Will We Family Vote for? The Sheliga from For People is clear – New Time

We are a family that will probably not support the dismissal of the head of the environmental department, Ján Budaj (OĽANO), from the position at the extraordinary meeting of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic. This was stated by the chairman of the parliamentary club of the movement, Peter Pčolinský. The party’s deputy chairman, Juraj Šeliga, called the opposition’s proposal bizarre. “I do not expect the We Are Family movement to vote in favor of Budaj’s dismissal, we are still part of the coalition,” Pčolinský said, adding that he personally had reservations about his work. “As a resident of Zemplín, I say that we have a huge environmental burden there, the Poša tailings pond, which is explicitly mentioned in the government’s program statement, I must state two years of inactivity of the minister and his flagrant approach to this topic,” he said. According to Šeliga, Budaj cannot be blamed for the problem with bears, according to him, the situation has been underestimated for a long time in the past. He reminded that intervention teams have already been set up, which have the opportunity to shoot the problem bear. He understands people’s concerns and the need to reassure them. He pointed out their possibility to contact the intervention team through their municipal offices. According to him, the problem of both feeding and overgrowth needs to be solved in this context.
