It is even more accurate to write that bad news is coming. For the previous two days, it was written about the occupation of Toshkivka and the threat of further Russian advance. It happened. The separatists’ fears that a huge ammunition depot on Thursday in the Luhansk region will slow down the offensive as Russian troops deprive of ammunition have not yet materialized. Even if that happens, the moment has not yet happened. The Russians advanced significantly to the city of Lysychansk. It’s already on its edge. The battle is irreversible, and if something fundamental does not happen in favor of Ukraine, its outcome will be bad first. However, this is not the only problem. The Russians advanced in a way that probably surrounded some of the Ukrainian troops. This does not mean that they have achieved the strategic success they sought at Donbas when they wanted to encircle the core of the Ukrainian army. So far, they have only cut off the retreat path for the units defending the village of Zolote and its surroundings. Some of the Ukrainian soldiers have managed to withdraw, but at the moment it is not known how big it is, nor how many have failed, how many are still fighting and how many have already been captured.
