Covid, Ecdc map: Italy returns in dark red

Covid in Italy, the country turns dark red again, the highest risk band in the color map of the ECDC (European Center for Disease Prevention and Control) which is processed on the basis of the new infections recorded in the last 14 days per 100 thousand inhabitants and the positive rate between the tests carried out, weighted by the vaccination rate of the population. According to the latest update, only Piedmont, Trentino and Valle d’Aosta remain in light red. Expanding the lens to Europe, France, Portugal, Iceland and parts of Austria and Greece are in dark red, which are in light red in the remaining area. In light red also Ireland, Slovenia, a few regions of Spain, a part of Belgium and Croatia, and a small handkerchief from Finland. In orange, the lowest risk band, only Latvia. All the rest on the map is gray, indicating an insufficient test level to determine the stratification of Covid risk.
