He told the club’s website that he was thinking about the end of his career, despite ongoing training. “I’ll see how I feel and what the coming weeks will bring,” he said. Meszároš was a player of the extra-league Dukla Trenčín in the season 2021/2022. However, due to health problems, he played only two matches, in which he scored one goal. At the end of his career, he decided to help the parent club from Považská Bystrica not only as a player, but also as a manager. “One of my tasks will be to help build the A-team, monitor the performance of players, help the club and, last but not least, look for sources of income in the club box, or help the youth. I don’t think much about playing hockey anymore I am recovering from a complicated injury and an operation that allowed me to start only two matches the previous season, but I have started training fully. This will be the first managerial experience of his career for a 36-year-old defender. He spent the player stage mainly abroad, playing a total of 695 games in the NHL during 10 seasons. He represented Slovakia at three Olympic Games and four World Championships. Author: © List Source: TASR
