No absolute majority, so a new government is needed, according to Nupes, which became the first opposition force after the second round of legislative elections, while the Macronist coalition Together only obtained 245 seats. To be validated, it must collect the votes of the absolute majority of the members of the Assembly, ie 289 votes. In the event of adoption, the Prime Minister must therefore present the resignation of his government to the President of the Republic. In this specific case, this would mean an unprecedented alliance between the opposition parties, in particular Nupes, Les Républicains and the National Rally, to oust the Borne government, which is already going to experience a reshuffle, after the defeat of three ministers in the second turn of the legislative.
