Russia, oxygen tube breaks in hospital: at least 9 dead

At least nine people died on Monday due to a ruptured oxygen tube at a hospital in the southern Russian city of Vladikavkaz. The death toll was confirmed by the health minister in charge of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Soslán Tebiev, reports the Russian news agency Sputnik, according to which the victims were patients whose medical situation was very serious. According to the first findings on the incident, a total of 71 patients were in the intensive care unit of the center when there was a loss of oxygen from a tube placed in an underground tank.
