Alex Rins withdraws from the German GP of MotoGP

Alex Rins (Suzuki) is forfeited for the rest of the MotoGP German Grand Prix this weekend. Two weeks ago, he suffered a broken wrist at the GP of Catalonia, after being caught in a fall with the Italian Francesco Bagnaia and the Japanese Takaaki Nakagami, from the start of the race . But, following a favorable medical opinion delivered on Thursday, the Spanish driver took part in free practice on Friday and Saturday morning at the Sachsenring. However, he preferred to abstain for the last tests and qualifications scheduled for Saturday afternoon, “in order to avoid aggravating his injury and to ensure a full return as soon as possible”, explained the Suzuki team. Rins will therefore not take the start of the Grand Prix on Sunday either. “Today (Saturday) my feelings in my hand and wrist are worse than yesterday (Friday), and I felt that I had a lot of pain when I tried to do a quick lap, so I don’t I don’t feel able to compete,” said the Spaniard. His aim now is to return to the Dutch GP next weekend.
