Javier Ribalta officially appointed OM football director

It’s official. As announced on our site this week, Javier Ribalta was appointed director of football at Marseille on Saturday, the Olympian club announced in a press release. The 41-year-old Spaniard will be responsible for “framing the whole of the club’s sports policy” alongside Pablo Longoria, with whom he already worked at Juventus from 2015 to 2017. Javier Ribalta has already collaborated with great European clubs at AC Milan (2009-2011), Juventus (2013-2017), Manchester United (2017-2018) and Zenith Saint Petersburg (2018-2021). The Barcelona native recently left Parma, an Italian club where he had served as sporting director since April 2021.
