Gyimesi kicked Sulík again: He was copying the words of opposition MPs! SaS chief deceives, Fico wants to dismiss the government

On Friday, MEPs resumed an extraordinary parliamentary session on the proposal to dismiss the Minister of Economy. The plenary will meet again on Tuesday when it returns to the regular sittings. VIDEO Smer-SD remained obsessed with what Sulík said: They will probably be repeated in the 1970s Sulík failed fatally MEP György Gyimesi claims that lies were played in Sulík’s defense during his appeal. He described several of the minister’s arguments as questionable. According to him, Sulík fatally failed in office and the citizens of the Slovak Republic are injured. “He failed fatally as Minister of Economy and we will all pay the price for his fatal failure,” Gyimesi said. According to him, Sulík had to “go crazy” when he talked about favorable conditions. He denies that Slovakia has the same favorable conditions as Hungary. Photo gallery (6) Source: Topky / Vlado Anjel He also objected to the statements that Slovnaft will be able to supply the Slovak market after the end of the 18-month exemption for the export of Russian oil products. If the company also tried to supply the market in Slovakia more, the antitrust office would intervene, according to him. Gyimesi also criticized the statement that we will not import “bloody oil” from Russia. According to him, no one minds that we will import “bloody oil” from Saudi Arabia. You are a lobbyist! He pointed out the need for its transport by tankers, which has an impact on the environment, as well as at a higher price. He further cited Sulík’s claims that Slovnaft should have assured him in a letter that he could also produce oil blends from other types of oil. Gyimesi read the letter in plenary. He claims that there is nothing in it about such assurances. “Sulík has no arguments in his defense,” he underlined, adding that he also tried to evolve from the situation when he showed private messages to Prime Minister Eduard Heger. Photo gallery (6) Source: Topky / Vlado Anjel “I think you are probably a lobbyist,” said Gyimesi’s SaS MP Radovan Kazda. According to him, Gyimesi merely repeated the views of the refinery in question. In addition, according to Kazda in a “Chrapun” way violates coalition agreements. He also called on Gyimesi to resign his term of office in 18 months if Slovnaft did not fall and not to accept an offer to run in the next election. He talks about the strike, which if Gyimesi accepts and finally comes to his words, he resigns himself. Everyone added that Sulík had defended himself sufficiently and offered an explanation. He described his reasoning as convincing. According to Fico, Sulík also failed similarly. The head of the Direction, Robert Fico, also commented on Sulík’s address yesterday. According to him, the Minister of Economy totally failed when he did not put enough pressure on Prime Minister Heger during the negotiations on Russian oil. Fico pointed out that the Slovak Prime Minister had agreed to the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, which had recently been agreed by the European Union (EU) and which also concerned the import and processing of Russian oil. According to him, Sulík did not put enough pressure on the prime minister during the oil negotiations. “The Minister of Economy, in whose portfolio these professional topics are, has totally failed,” Fico emphasized. He also noted that, according to the German weekly, sanctions against Russia will not affect the USA, China and India will have the greatest profit, and Europe and the EU will be the most damaged. He stated that the political will of the large Western countries, to which the current Slovak government has joined, ie the will “to damage the Russian Federation at all costs”, is pushing the European economy “into a corner”. Opposition Criticism According to him, what happened in Brussels by the Slovak government is a “fatal failure” because “they intentionally damaged the Slovak economy and Slovak households”. He criticized the fact that they took decisions without consulting the public. He also stressed that “fortunately” only oil is a topic at the moment and there is no need to talk about gas. He asked where the government’s response to the “catastrophic” scenario of rising gas prices. Photo gallery (6) Source: Topky / Vlado Anjel He was also interested in why the originally planned three years to prepare for the cut from Russian oil were shortened to eight months and why the Slovak government did not veto it. According to Fico, it will be very difficult to manage these eight months. He warned that Slovnaft would go to a technological minimum, which he said could significantly damage the company. We will go to the government’s appeal if he does not say what he will do with energy. The government should come forward in parliament with a proposal on how it wants to compensate for the increase in energy prices for Slovak households. If he does not, the opposition Smer has no choice but to go to the government’s appeal, Fico told the press later. “Call on the Slovak government – appear before the national council and say what you are going to do. If they do not, ladies and gentlemen, we have no choice but to go to the Slovak government’s appeal and to recover this issue in the form of the entire government’s appeal,” Fico by the fact that the government is largely responsible for what is currently happening in Slovakia with energy. Photo gallery (6) Source: Topky / Vlado Anjel He pointed out the rising prices of fuels, at the same time, according to him, there may be a shortage in the summer. He claims that we are witnessing a sharp decline in living standards and rising prices, and the government has no tools to combat it. He stated that there was a problem with oil, but he also reported a problem with gas and electricity. Fico also reacted to the gas prices announced on Thursday (June 16). According to the Minister of Economy Richard Sulík (SaS), they will increase by 34 to 59% next year. “Can you imagine what it is, what impact a 60% increase in gas prices will have on households? What has the government been doing for eight, nine months?” Fico wondered. He considers Sulík’s statement that it will be only 60% a “huge mockery”. According to him, he did not say what compensation will be for people. According to Fico, the increase in the prices of gas, electricity and oil products will affect the growth of the prices of everything. Sulík’s dismissal Four more deputies have signed up in writing for the motion of censure on the Minister for the Economy. Subsequently, they will be able to register orally. The plenary should continue the discussion on Sulík’s dismissal after discussing several deadlines from the regular meeting. The Minister of Economy also took part in the discussion. Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OĽANO) presented the position of the government, which does not agree with the appeal. Photo gallery (6) Source: Topky / Vlado Anjel The request to convene an extraordinary meeting was submitted by the opposition Smer-SD. The deputies justified Sulík’s motion of censure on his passivity when submitting proposals to mitigate the effects of rising energy and fuel prices. According to them, the result of the Minister’s inaction is an uncontrollable increase in the prices of energy and fuels with drastic effects on living standards. On Tuesday from 9.00 am, the plenary session would address the reports of the Slovak Information Service (SIS) and Military Intelligence in a closed session. From 2 pm, deputies have scheduled points from the workshop of the Ministry of Justice, but they should also deal with the Act on Anti-Inflation Aid, which was returned to the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová for renegotiation.
