The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) informs about it on the web. Second-level warnings are valid until 7 pm in all regions except Košice and Prešov. According to meteorologists, storms can be associated with heavy rain with an intensity of 30 to 50 millimeters of precipitation per half an hour, with gusts of wind 70 to 110 kilometers per hour and with hail. It is necessary to pay increased attention to information about the meteorological situation, accompanying phenomena and follow the instructions of the crisis components,” warns SHMÚ. He also warns that storms can cause water levels to rise, causing damage to vegetation, forests, buildings or power lines. The second stage of the hydrological warning before the flash flood is valid for Čadca until 20.00. The first-level warning is issued for Kysucké Nové Mesto, Námestovo, Trenčín, Ilava, Púchov, Považská Bystrica and Bytča. The first-degree warning against storms is valid until 9 pm for the territory of western and central Slovakia, from 7 pm it will be extended to the territory of the Košice and Prešov regions, where, as in the Banská Bystrica region, storms must be counted until midnight. “Thunderstorms can be accompanied by a heavy downpour with an intensity of 20 to 30 millimeters of precipitation in 30 minutes and gusts of wind at a speed of 65 to 85 kilometers per hour, hailstorms can also fall during storms,” ​​meteorologists said.
