This is stated by the Brown Bear Intervention Team. The team considers this clash “only” an incident. “On Wednesday 15.6. in the area of ​​the Veľká Fatra National Park, the bear, in an effort to defend his two cubs, rescued the Mountain Rescue Service (HZS) from the tourist trail. The rescuer fell during the escape and suffered a head injury. However, the course of the incident cannot be considered an attack, which resulted in a scratched face of the rescuer, “they informed. Our staff also talked to one of the rescuers. Before meeting the bear, the man went up the hill and returned along the ski mountaineering route. At that moment he noticed small bear cubs and seconds began to decide. Before the rescuer realized it, a big bear rushed at him. She started chasing him. To escape her, a man climbed a tree. However, before that he tripped, fell and broke his head. When he was in the tree, he called his colleagues. “He told us he was being chased by a bear and bleeding. At that time, we did not know directly that he was not attacked, “one of the rescuers told Markíza TV. The men went to a colleague armed with defensive sprays on a bear and accompanied by a rescue dog. “Someone says it can hurt, but I judged that the dog can only help us in that situation,” he said. “The rescuer disturbed the teddy bear in the forest terrain, the natural habitat of the brown bear. Clashing with our biggest beast is dangerous for humans and is not intended to alleviate the situation.
