Strong storms continue to cause problems and damage in our territory. Storm activity is only subsiding in western Slovakia, where it is mostly raining, but in the rest of Slovakia it is still very stormy. The cold front, which is undulating above our area, continues to form showers and numerous storms, which are also intense. These cause problems and the danger is no longer just a torrential rain, but also a strong wind that does damage. A strong wind in the city damaged several trees and also several roofs. Probably the biggest damage was caused by heavy rain accompanied by the wind at the elementary school on Okružná Street, where it tore down a large part of the roof. The wind also damaged and dropped the roofing from the football stadium and one family house. In other places, they report fallen branches and trees, which are currently being cleaned by firefighters. The storm brought about 30 mm of rain to the city.
