Russia postponed annual ‘Hotline’ with Putin: first time in 18 years

It is the first time in 18 years that the annual Hotline with Vladimir Putin, the telephone marathon in which the Russian president answers questions from ordinary citizens, has been postponed. This was underlined by the Moscow Times, after the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, announced today that the date of the event “has not yet been set”. Previously, the Russian government announced that the Hotline would be held as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 15-18. Moscow Times recalls that another regular presidential event, Putin’s speech to the Russian Federal Assembly, was postponed to April with no new date being set since.
