He even accused the Kremlin of using the food supply as “a stealth missile”. Charles Michel accused Russia of stealing Ukrainian cereals in the regions it occupies. He added that ‘blaming others’ was ‘cowardly’ and amounted to ‘outright propaganda’. He ended by declaring: “Russia alone is responsible for this impending food crisis. He later explained to Reuters, “I couldn’t stay” because of “the lies that Charles Michel came here to distribute”. He was replaced by Deputy Ambassador Dmitry Polyansky, who called Charles Michel “rude” on Telegram.
