Source: Getty Images CELJE – At the age of 42, former Slovenian football representative Goran Sankovič, who also worked in Prague’s Slavia, died. The Slovenian media and Sankovič’s former NK Celje club informed about it on their Facebook profile. According to the media, Sankovič has been missing since Friday morning, when he went nowhere. Celje police found his body on Saturday. The cause of death has not yet been clarified. The former defender for Slavia played 21 league matches between 2001 and 2002. He then succeeded Akratitus and Panionios in Greece. He ended his career in 2004 due to a knee problem. The five-time national team was the only footballer in the Czech league to win the 2002 World Cup, but he did not intervene in the game.
