First the rear-wheel drive iV 80 and later the iV 80 × with ATV and Sportline package. But you will pay extra for a large battery with a usable capacity of 82 kW, which ensures a decent range, higher performance and equipment. So what to give preference to the base, the Enyaqu iV 60? This is exactly how he got to our editorial office, in addition to the basic Loft equipment. But that doesn’t mean big compromises. Even in this form, Enyaq IV looks to the world. Although it does not boast a luminous Crystal Face mask, it is finally available in more expensive versions at an additional cost, but the appearance is enhanced by lacquered bumpers as well as mirrors and LED lights. Also basically generous In our case, the Enyaq iV 60 was still “tuned” with great 20-inch Vega discs and a chrome package, which means chrome only windows and also a silver roof rack. Don’t expect extra emotions, but you certainly won’t have the feeling of a cheap car. Describing the design of this car probably doesn’t matter, it’s nothing new, but many consider the Enyaq to be one of the most beautiful Škoda models. It has nice proportions, somewhere at the interface of full-fledged SUVs and classic station wagons. At the same time, it benefits from compact electrical technology. The dimensions also correspond to this. Enyaq is shorter than Kodiaq, but with a wheelbase of 2,760 mm, it loses only 27 mm. This is the promise of an extremely spacious interior. You will get used to controlling the system, but sometimes you have to work with it more often than necessary. For example, there is no mode where the display shows both the battery charge status and the trip computer data, such as power consumption. It takes extra cranks. It will please great connectivity with smartphones via wireless SmartLink as well as a standard charging box. Too bad the Enyaq iV lost a separate air conditioning panel. What is it is a trend that, with a few exceptions, is spreading unstoppably through car production. And the joystick of the “gearbox” selector is also not a lucky solution. Instead, you control the cruise control with a classic lever on the steering column. Suitcase enchants Surprisingly, the start button is in the traditional place, while Enyaqu’s siblings have it on the center console. But you don’t actually need to use it. Once unlocked, it is activated automatically, just “include” D. The Loft level is the basis, which corresponds to the choice of materials. Compared to previous versions with “bloated” equipment First Edition Plus and Sportline, the Loft looks a bit dull, but maybe even more timeless. The seats are upholstered with a combination of gray fabric and leather, the instrument panel is again covered with gray fabric. The contrast is created by brushed aluminum decorations. The double-spoke steering wheel, on the other hand, has a leather rim. The atmosphere is further enhanced by the ambient backlight, not only the dashboard but also the door. At the back, you literally fall in love with Enyaq IV. It offers almost the space of Superb and in the trunk also does not lag behind the reputation of family features. As standard, you get a great 13-inch infotainment. Ergonomics is exemplary. Under the mechanically hinged lid there are a huge 585 liters for luggage and folding seats divided in a ratio of 40: 60 to 1 710. And you also have four hinged hooks and an extremely practical organizer, which is an L-shaped plastic partition with Velcro that you can to catch anywhere in the whole space and fix the load – simple and ingenious. The optional Family package also adds a 230 V socket to the trunk, two USB ports for the rear passengers or practical sun visors in the door. Enyaq simply meets all the spatial and practical requirements of a family car. And it’s not completely boring even behind the wheel. It is the weakest version available on our market because the Enyaq iV 50 (109 kW) is not imported. Although the iV60 is intended to declare battery capacity, this is not the case. In fact, the Enyaq iV has a 60 li-ion battery with a gross capacity of 62 kWh and a usable 58 kWh. This is not an extraordinarily staggering figure. But sixty has one advantage in the salon. If we compare it with the Enyaq iV 80, this version is more than 200 kg lighter. So Enyaq, with a smaller battery and three passengers on board, weighs like an empty 80’s. Not to mention the 80 × version with a pair of electric motors, which is even heavier by a meter. And it was this advantage that our iV 60 was able to take full advantage of.
