Elisabeth Borne wishes to move forward on the priorities set by Emmanuel Macron, during the first Council of Ministers on Monday and brought together this Friday, May 27, the ministers at Matignon. She spoke at the end of this working meeting. No Ascension Bridge for the ministers of the Borne government, gathered this Friday May 27 from the morning at Matignon, for a working meeting set by the Prime Minister, following the first Council of Ministers this Monday May 23. Three watchwords The opportunity for Elisabeth Borne to set roadmaps and give a clear line of priorities at the head of the government. At the end of this meeting, she therefore recalled the main priorities: purchasing power, health and the climate. “I have given my government three watchwords: speed, efficiency and results,” declared the Prime Minister, who therefore returned point by point to the government’s roadmap. Purchasing power Presented as “the first emergency” of the French which must be answered, purchasing power is announced as a priority. “Until now, we have protected purchasing power better than any other country in the euro zone and we have the lowest inflation in Europe”, first welcomed Elisabetht Borne, assuring incidentally that the first laws of this five-year period would be in favor of purchasing power. “Emergency laws for purchasing power will be the first texts of this five-year term. They will be examined by the new Assembly as soon as it resumes its work.” Health Another priority for the government is health, while France is facing a major shortage of nursing staff in hospitals. Thus, for the government, the challenge will be to respond “in the very short term” to the lack of hospital staff. “I asked the minister concerned to look into this subject without delay and to make proposals to me very quickly, to take effective measures for the summer”, indicated the Prime Minister. Climate In charge of ecological planning, “I intend to carry out this project at a rapid pace”, specified Elisabeth Borne, who will have to agree with the two ministers (ecological transition and energy transition) on the way to carry out this subject. “I reminded all ministers this morning that all ministries must mobilize to face the climate challenge and that they must therefore participate in ecological planning.”
