In the video, the Adnkronos exclusively shows the city after the final siege of the Azovstal steel mill. Hundreds of “black eyes” seem to stare at those strolling through the main streets of the metropolis, once the pride of the country and center of economic and cultural exchanges on the Azov Sea. They are the windows hit by rockets and missiles, which now emerge as orbits from gutted buildings. Destroyed buildings, heaps of rubble but also timid signs of recovery: a man is walking around with a ‘shopping’ bag, large vehicles begin to clear the roadsides of rubble. The red viburnum, the symbolic plant of Ukraine, blooms on street corners, heedless of war. Mariupol is on her feet, and starts again from here.
