Updated 14:47 22. 5. 2022, 12:55 The guests of the show Na telo were Mária Kolíková (SaS) and Peter Pellegrini (Hlas-SD). For a week now, the coalition has not found a common plan to help people at a time of enormous prices. The billion-dollar plan of Finance Minister Igor Matovich runs into opposition from the SaS party, according to which it is chaotic. He can finally pass parliament with the support of the opposition, including members of the LSN. Justice Minister Mária Kolíková from SaS claims that she learned the details of the social package from government colleagues only at the last minute and reproaches him that he should pass the National Council just as expressly and without discussion. Against the background of the government dispute, there is a shift in several corruption cases, and even another former minister has been charged. Voice-SD chairman Peter Pellegrini thinks the government’s alleged anti-corruption struggle is just a maneuver to cover up the inability to meaningfully help people in crisis. Dispute over the social package The social package from the Minister of Finance’s workshop should cost more than one billion euros a year. However, the SaS party refuses his support because it was not preceded by an adequate discussion. “Everything the fool Igor Matovic is about to happen next year,” opposition leader P. Pellegrini said. According to the Minister of Justice, the future of the social package is not at all certain, even if she passes parliament and obtains the president’s signature. The reason is that the package of measures is approved in an abbreviated legislative procedure. “If we look at the decisions of the Constitutional Court, which also concerned the legislative process, this is an exemplary case,” said M. Kolíková. However, she did not confirm whether she would turn to the Constitutional Court herself. The former minister of justice for Most-Híd was supposed to accept a bribe of 50,000 euros as a member of parliament as a member of parliament. Mr Pellegrini, in whose government he sat, says he was surprised by the accusation and believes in a fair trial. Minister M. Kolíková, who met briefly with G. Gál at the resort, reacted in the opposite way. “When you have a collaboration with someone, you see how that person works. So it didn’t surprise me that much,” she said. Former special prosecutor Dušan Kováčik also faces a conviction for corruption. However, the head of the opposition party Hlas-SD makes no secret of the fact that he does not have much confidence in the law enforcement authorities led by the current government. “I am not entirely sure whether today in Slovakia we can declare with a clear conscience that there is not a single influenced investigator, prosecutor or judge,” he said. According to him, the penitents are cooperating to reduce their own punishment. “If you question the course of the investigation in this way, when you say that someone is protecting their ass here, you may be protecting your own,” counters Minister of Justice M. Kolíková. Recording of the show You can also listen to the body in the form of a podcast: During the show, you decided that you were more convinced by Peter Pellegrini.
