Météo France placed 13 departments on orange vigilance this Sunday morning in the face of potentially violent stormy episodes. If Météo France ensures that these episodes are not exceptional for the season, they could generate strong gusts of wind and hailstorms in certain places. The departments of Vienne, Haute-Vienne, Charente, Creuse, Puy-de-Dôme, Loire, Haute-Loire, Dordogne, Corrèze, Cantal, Lot-et-Garonne and Gironde , are concerned by this vigilance. Gusts of wind and hail showers “At the beginning of the afternoon, new storms will form on the reliefs of Auvergne and Forez and can give strong gusts as well as hail”, explains in a press release, the weather station. These new storms will give rise to a stormy axis which will form above Aquitaine and will go up towards Périgord or Limousin. Gusts of up to 100 to 110 km / h are expected, as well as hailstorms in places.
