AccuWeather: Hot summer days are approaching. What is the forecast for summer 2022 in Europe? – iMeteo.sk

-

Summer is just around the corner and many Slovaks are interested in what this summer awaits us. AccuWeather has come up with a long-term forecast for the summer of 2022 in Europe, which we are now bringing to you. The American Meteorological Society AccuWeather regularly publishes its forecasts for the coming season. The latest came with a forecast for this summer in Europe. AccuWeather’s team of long-term forecasters analyzed the weather around the world to gather what is likely to happen in Europe in the coming weeks and months. After a record warmest flight in Europe in 2021, very hot weather will once again prevail on most continents. Chief meteorologist Tyler Roys and meteorologist Alan Reppert believe that this summer could be warmer than usual on most of the continent, which is above average. The hottest weather during the summer months of June, July and August will await Spain, Portugal, the south of France and the whole of Italy, where at the same time, due to high temperatures and drought, devastating forest fires are threatening. Summer heat is not expected to be so intense in northern Europe and the British Isles. Warming in early summer will be followed by an atmospheric tug of war between the warm seasons and torrential rains, especially in Northern Ireland and Scotland. In Western Europe, together with the Czech Republic and Poland, a warm and dry summer with less rainfall is expected. These European countries will be slightly above average in temperature. What summer can be expected in Slovakia? Record-intense heat will be one of the biggest weather factors in summer in southern Europe and, in part, in central Europe, AccuWeather predicts. In the second half of the summer, there will be periods when heat waves will come, which will then be replaced by storm periods. Higher temperatures are also expected throughout Slovakia and according to the AccuWeather forecast we have a very warm summer ahead of us with more storm activity. Storms are more likely to occur in the second half of the summer than in the first half of the summer. However, the storms will not be large enough to end the drought. In conclusion, we will only add that this is a long-term forecast of the meteorological company AccuWeather. For long-term forecasts, it should be taken into account that these forecasts are rather indicative and not 100% reliable, as it is a forecast for the next 3 months.
