Météo France placed 17 departments on orange vigilance this Friday for thunderstorms. Seventeen departments in the northern part of France have been placed by Météo France on orange vigilance for thunderstorms. Aisne, Ardennes, Eure, Marne, Nord, Oise, Pas-de-Calais, Paris and its inner suburbs, Seine-Maritime, Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Somme, Essonne and Val-d’Oise are concerned. “These storms can occasionally be accompanied by violent gusts of wind that can exceed 100 km / h. The electrical activity is sometimes strong, indicates Météo France. The accumulations of rain are locally significant over short periods, with sometimes 10 to 30 mm in less than an hour (…) hail is also possible”. The alert is valid until at least 6 p.m.
