Jean-Christophe Lagarde hopes not to find “the provocative and authoritarian Macron” after the legislative elections “It’s about time” that we know the composition of the new government, judged Jean-Christophe Lagarde, the head of the Union of Democrats and Independents (UDI) on France 2. “We have a lot of difficulties in our country, starting with inflation, prices, especially food prices, continue to soar, there is speculation that exists and we are not doing anything to stop it,” he said. “A government must be able to break speculation,” he added. “I am in favor of blocking a certain number of prices to prevent people from fattening up on the back of the war” in Ukraine, he continued. He said he hoped that the new ministers would have “a minimum of experience in public management”, and would not only be neophytes from “civil society”, which “has not always given only good results” . Mr. Lagarde also expects that Emmanuel Macron, if his camp wins the legislative elections, will only have a relative majority forcing him to “discuss with centrists, socialists, humanist Republicans”, to get out of the vision “I decide, you execute” which marked, according to him, the first five-year term. “If we find the provocative and authoritarian Macron, we will have a social revolt in our country,” he warned.
