Capture France 3 “I haven’t prepared, I’m sorry”: an (other) RN candidate out of fuel live POLITICS – Another complicated baptism of fire for a National Rally candidate in the legislative elections. Wednesday, May 18, Sophie Carnicer, RN candidate in the 2nd constituency of the Territory of Belfort participated in a debate against her competitors, broadcast on France 3 Bourgogne. The opportunity for the one who also wore the Lepenist colors during the departmental elections of 2021 to deceive the outgoing deputy Michel Zumkeller (UDI) and his opponents LREM and Nupes to which is added a dissident LR. And while the debate was about public services, Sophie Carnicer was unable to formulate the slightest answer for her first TV appearance. Question from the journalist on set: “How to solve this equation: less and less money at the level of local authorities, and an increasingly strong demand for public services, or services to the population in the broad sense?”. A real glue for the candidate who, after a long hesitation, finally mentioned the idea of saving on … Immigration. “I didn’t prepare, I’m sorry,” she finally admitted, as you can see at the end of the video below. A sequence that resembles that, just as difficult, experienced by the RN candidate in Côte d’Or, Mélanie Fortier, who, in the same way, had been unable to answer a question also relating to public services. Difficulties which suggests that many RN candidates are uncomfortable talking about anything other than insecurity or immigration, and which sheds a harsh light on (recurring) human resources problems experienced by the National Rally. This should not fail to fuel the lawsuits of educated amateurism against the far-right formation. See also on The HuffPost: The sinking of this RN legislative candidate did not go unnoticed
