Source: iclinic-capitals.sk BRATISLAVA – The hockey club iClinic Bratislava Capitals will once again be part of the international Ice Hockey League competition in the new season 2022/2023. This will be the third season for the Bratislava team in the multinational league, where teams from Austria, Hungary, Italy and Slovenia are also active. The club did not finish the competition this season after the tragic events that hit him. He therefore asked the league management to suspend participation in the next matches of the season. In November, forward Boris Sádecký first collapsed on the ice of the Austrian Dornbirn, was in serious condition and eventually died of heart failure at the age of 24. Two days later, the vice-president and general director of the club, Dušan Pašek Jr., also tragically died. The club’s sports director will be Peter Draisaitl, who previously worked as a team coach. “We will soon introduce to the public the name of the new head coach of the team as well as the players who will represent us. The goal of the club is to proudly represent Slovakia in the supranational league, to perform attractive hockey, to build and expand the Capitals hockey community and to give the spectator a unique experience. “We are very happy that the club is returning to the hockey map after a few months’ break. The recent period has been very challenging for many of us, we are all the more looking forward to the challenges ahead. IClinic Bratislava Capitals is young, but it does not lack ambition “I believe that we will confirm them in the new season of the ICE Hockey League,” said club president Ivo Ďurkovič.
