Basically, we already know it, because it will be the European version of the American HR-V. Honda will expand its offer in Europe by a third SUV next year. It stands between the smaller HR-V and the larger CR-V. So far, however, only the name is official. Nevertheless, we know what model it will be. Only recently did Honda show the HR-V model in the USA. But you should definitely not be mistaken with the European one. While in our country the smallest SUV Honda uses an extended Jazz platform, across the Atlantic it was built directly on the foundations of the HE of the eleventh generation Civic. It will, but only for the US This means significantly larger dimensions and a larger cabin. Compared to our HR-V, the ZR-V will be approximately 180 mm longer. The wheelbase of 2,736 mm should be identical to the Civic. However, what will make the European and American versions different is the space under the hood. The ZR-V also switches to hybrid drive. They will borrow it again from the new Civic. The 2.0 e: HEV system combines an Atkinson 4-cylinder and an electric motor. If the hybrid system is tuned in as in the Civic, a system power of 135 kW and a torque of 315 Nm should be available. A big bonus compared to the HR-V will be the independent suspension on the rear axle, which promises great driving characteristics. But we probably can’t count on a 4 × 4 drive. He would have to borrow the ZR-V from the larger Honda CR-V. However, this is not completely out of the question, because the CR-V also has a hybrid e: HEV system and an ATV with a classic mechanical distribution. Honda will reveal more during the year. He really has time, because the ZR-V will not reach the first European customers until 2023. Finally, we don’t even have a new Civic here yet.
