Fire on the Arbois plateau: 10 caravans affected by the flames, one lightly injured – La Provence

The fire broke out at 2:45 p.m. near the Aix TGV station, on the Arbois plateau, in the Roma camp. 200 to 300 people had to be evacuated. 10 caravans were affected by the flames, resulting in the explosion of several gas cylinders. One person was slightly injured in the arm. 80 firefighters from the department and 40 fire and rescue engines were deployed on the site. Traffic was not cut off, the TGV lines operated normally, despite the proximity of thick black smoke. de l’Arbois was threatened, the actions focused on limiting the spread of the disaster. The fire is currently under control, even if the risk of propagation has not yet been ruled out. Its origin is not yet known.
