The weather is starting to change. Thunderstorms and precipitation are developing over eastern Austria, which are advancing over western Slovakia. The first storm hit Bratislava. In the coming hours, the storms will turn to rain and the temperatures will fall downwards. We have the first tropical day of this year behind us. Temperatures rose well above +30 ° C. The warmest was at 15:00 in Hurbanovo, where the temperature reached +31.4 ° C. The second warmest locality is Mužla with +31.2 ° C and the third is closed by Žihárec with +30.7 ° C. Today, strong storms were also expected in eastern Slovakia. The cold front was supposed to bring them, but in the end they started to go through the so-called ,,dry,,. Although the dynamics and instability were suitable, there was no moisture. In the east, storms occurred, but they were quite normal and did not cause problems. Only a few dozen lightning strikes. But that is beginning to change. There is more humidity and the first showers and storms began to form, which slide over Slovakia. The storm hit Bratislava and is moving east. Overcast Austria and Hungary is currently forming precipitation clouds, which is advancing over Slovakia. The first storm cooled hot Bratislava. The storm that hit Bratislava brought about a 10-minute rain, which cooled the hot streets and roads in the city. Apart from the fact that the sewerage system did not manage to absorb water for a while, no significant problems occurred. The storm only refreshed the air pleasantly. At the moment, a storm is advancing from Bratislava over the Danubian Lowland, while further storms may occur in western Slovakia in the coming hours. Rain will spread over Slovakia at night As we have already informed in previous articles, at night the weather will be affected by the precipitation activity associated with the cold front. Local storms may occur, especially by 3:00, but they will gradually turn into rain. Friday morning should be raining in several places, and precipitation will not begin until the afternoon. At the same time, however, colder air will enter our area and tomorrow’s temperatures will be about 10 ° C lower than today’s.
