Ukraine-Russia, Bush: “Zelensky the Churchill of our times”

In the past few hours Volodymyr Zelensky had an interview with former US president George W. Bush, an “example of a strong leader”, whom the Ukrainian president has invited to his country. Zelensky, according to what was announced by the Kiev presidency after the video call, “thanked the United States, the Americans”, stating that he “saw how they view us on social networks, take to the streets, support Ukraine with flags”. For the Ukrainian president, “Americans are sincere, open-minded people”. “We have common values,” he said. For Bush, “it was an honor to spend a few minutes talking with Zelensky, the Winston Churchill of our time.” Thanks to the Ukrainian president “for his leadership, his example, his commitment to freedom” and the recognition of the “courage of the Ukrainian people”. According to Bush, Zelensky assured “that there will be no hesitation in their fight against Putin’s barbarism and violence”. “We will continue to stand with the Ukrainians who defend their freedom”.
