Lavrov, Zelensky: “Russia has forgotten World War II lesson”

The words of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that Hitler had “Jewish blood in his veins” show that “Russia has forgotten all the lessons of the Second World War”. Thus, in the usual video message broadcast during the night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the statements made two days ago to Rete 4 by the head of Moscow diplomacy, comparing him in fact to the Nazi leader. Read also “The Russian Foreign Minister said openly and without hesitation that the greatest anti-Semites were among the Jews. And that Hitler had Jewish blood. How can one say such a thing on the eve of the anniversary of the victory over Nazism” Zelensky wondered. That he continued: “These words mean that the highest Russian diplomat is blaming the Jewish people for the Nazi crimes. There are no words.” After underlining that on the part of Moscow “there were no objections or apologies”, but only “silence” in front of Lavrov’s words, the Ukrainian president concluded: “After the deaths of people who survived the Nazi occupation and the camps of Nazi concentration due to Russian bombing (in Ukraine, ed), this anti-Semitic impulse of the minister means that Russia has forgotten all the lessons of the Second World War “.
