Canceled flight between Mallorca and Toulouse: the endless journey of passengers to return home

the essential A simple trip between Palma de Mallorca and Toulouse turns into a nightmare for 150 Volotea passengers. Their flight was canceled and replaced by a coach connection from Barcelona. Faced with the lack of communication from the airline, some passengers intend to launch a group action to be compensated. Decidedly, traveling with Volotea is not easy. This Saturday, April 30, 150 passengers on the flight between Palma de Mallorca and Toulouse saw their journey canceled without reason by the airline. Some still managed to reach the pink city this Sunday morning, after finding a flight to Barcelona overnight. Some of them now want to launch a group action to be compensated. “We arrived in Toulouse around 6 a.m. this morning,” says Nicolas, one of the 150 passengers on the flight originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m. this Saturday evening and joined by La Dépêche du Midi. His flight canceled for no reason, Nicolas was stuck in the waiting room for several hours before finally being offered two seats in the 11 p.m. Palma de Mallorca-Barcelona. A Vueling flight he took with his 4-year-old daughter. “We then took a bus to Barcelona at 1 a.m., everyone quickly fell asleep”. “We have no news from Volotea” This Sunday morning, he still has not received any news from the airline: “No news, no referent on the stopover, no information on bus schedules , in short, zero communication!” Nicolas, however, puts it into perspective: “My daughter will have at least seen Barcelona by night”. An unfortunate experience that adds spice to their vacation. Nicolas warns, however, “We discussed between passengers” and “some wish to launch a group action to request compensation”. This incident is not the first for Volotea. Less than two weeks ago, several travelers who had booked a plane ticket had seen their flights canceled at the last moment, due to a strike notice filed by the flight crew. Some passengers had to spend the night of April 17 at the hotel at the start of the Easter holidays Read also: Toulouse residents stranded in the Canary Islands because of the strike by Volotea company staff Another flight from Toulouse to Palma from Mallorca canceled Cyprien, he too, does not take off. He was to go to Palma de Mallorca with a scheduled flight from Toulouse on Saturday April 30 at 7:55 p.m. “We were informed only by SMS of its cancellation the same day at 3:00 p.m.,” he laments. In his eyes, “this company is customary with the facts” and this incident led him to have to cancel all of his reservations, i.e. the hotel and the car rental “generating costs, plus the return flight we had booked with Ryanair, which will not be refunded”. Asked to provide details on the reasons for the delay of the Palma de Mallorca-Toulouse flight on April 30, we have not been able, for the moment and like many customers, to contact the airline Volotea.
