After an incredible race, Frenchman Esteban Ocon (Alpine) won the first Grand Prix of his career on Sunday in Hungary, ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton. He thus becomes the 14th French winner in F1.

Frenchman Esteban Ocon (Alpine) won the first Formula 1 Grand Prix of his career, at age 24, on Sunday August 1 in Hungary, after an incredible race and many retirements following a start in the rain.

He thus offered the French team Alpine-Renault its first Grand Prix since 2008.

The 14th French winner in F1

Ocon, second out of the chaos of the first corner after several accidents, withstood the assaults of the experienced Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin) to secure a prestigious victory and become the 14th French winner in F1.

Lewis Hamilton, last time, managed an incredible comeback to finish 3rd and regain the lead in the championship from Max Verstappen (Red Bull), affected in the accident in the first lap and finally 10th.
