Patrick Bevin winner in the sprint of the 3rd stage of the Tour de Romandie

After his success this Wednesday during the second stage of the Tour de Romandie, the Briton Ethan Hayter (Ineos Grenadiers) was overtaken this Friday by the New Zealander Patrick Bevin (Israel – Premier Tech), winner in the sprint of the 3rd stage of the Tour de Romandie. Rohan Dennis (Jumbo-Visma) took third place. Australia retains its leader’s jersey on the eve of the queen stage, ahead of Patrick Bevin. Three riders took the breakaway of the day 147 km from the finish. The French Rémi Cavagna (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl), Nans Peters (AG2R Citroën) and the Latvian Krists Neilands (Israel-Premier Tech) had more than three minutes ahead of the peloton but the trio was caught at 19 km of arrival. “It wasn’t a good day yesterday, I didn’t manage to be good but I knew I had good legs today,” said Patrick Bevin after the race. It’s amazing to win today. Hayter was very strong, it’s a great satisfaction for me. »
