Parliamentary sitting: Fico objects to Andrejuv’s bias, parliamentary committee is to discuss it – HNonline

Smer leader Robert Fico objects to Anna Andrejuva, chairwoman of the parliamentary mandate and immunity committee (OĽANO), at the request of the prosecutor’s office for consent to his release. On Friday morning, he therefore asked the plenary of the National Council to convene a parliamentary body. This is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Fico reminded that Andrejuvová worked for years as an assistant to Daniel Lipšic, who is currently the head of the Special Prosecutor’s Office. She also claims that she has met with Lipšic in recent hours and that, in view of several facts, she should have instructed another member of the committee to submit a request to the prosecutor’s office in plenary. On Friday, a discussion continues at the National Council on the prosecutor’s request for consent to take Fico into custody. The Parliamentary Credentials and Immunities Committee has already adopted a resolution on the request and recommended that it be approved by the plenary. Possible prosecution of a member of parliament is possible only with the consent of parliament and a court decision.
