Hello, the West is tightening up in its strategy towards Russia. The shift we have seen in recent weeks in the form of larger supplies of heavy equipment has been confirmed by US ministers. The Russians, of course, were not pleased, and they made it clear. What’s at stake: Sunday’s visit to two US ministers in Kyiv was already important. It is slowly becoming easier to count politicians who have not yet come to Zelensky than those who have already elected there, but US government officials have been in the Ukrainian capital for the first time since the beginning of the Russian invasion. The arrival of defense and foreign ministers is also significant because they arrived in Kyjiv with the promise of further military assistance worth hundreds of millions of dollars. In addition to traditional diplomatic words about Ukraine’s support and its courageous struggle, there have been harsh and unequivocal words about Russia and the goals of the United States and its allies.
