Regarding the former, it is not really news insofar as the rebellious deputy Alexis Corbière, member of the National Defense and Armed Forces Committee of the National Assembly, had already revealed the supply of ” some anti-tank missiles”, for which he had been reproached by the majority. The newspaper Le Monde had confirmed this information, referring to the delivery of “a few dozen” Milan missiles. L’Opinion added that France offered Javelin anti-tank missiles and Mistral very short-range anti-aircraft missiles. On the other hand, so far, the delivery of Caesar guns had not leaked. Deployed in Iraq against the Islamic State but also in Mali with formidable efficiency, these self-propelled guns can launch 155 mm shells 40 kilometers away with a rate of six to eight rounds per minute. The candidate president did not specify the extent of this delivery. We only know that France wants to acquire 109 Caesars in 2025.
